Tech Tip #7 – Is a Pre-Bill necessary? Not with CosmoLex!
Many law firms go through a specific approval process for their invoices. In some programs, pre-bills are generated, as the actual invoices cannot be edited once created. The great news is that this extra step is not needed in CosmoLex, as you can provide the actual invoice for approval, and then make any updates as needed. Whether it is to the actual time/expense entries, discounting, invoice dates, whatever it is, you have the freedom to change it in CosmoLex.
Extra tip: if you want to provide one detailed report for approval, use the Matter Billing Hours Report (Reports > Billing > Matter Billing Hours) Here you have various filters to choose a little or a lot of information. Be sure to show Details, as that will give a specific breakdown of your time/expense entries.
